We would like to welcome you into our home so you can enjoy the cultural experience of learning about my people, the Red Dao.
In the late fall of 2011, we rebuilt a large new home following traditional Dao architecture on my husband’s family land and we added 3 rooms for our homestay guests.
We also built a free standing four piece bath house. It features a large hot water unit with shower, pedestal sink, full size toilet and a wooden herbal bath tub. The photos show the tub in our home but it has been relocated to the bath house for your complete privacy.
Our homestay is located about 3/4 of a kilometre north of the village centre at the base of the mountain providing a quiet retreat except for the sounds of our children, chickens, and pigs.
We can provide all of your meals during your stay for a small additional charge. The neighbourhood and village centre shops can provide all your water, berverage and snack requirements.
Our homestay is a perfect base for exploring the village and enjoying the nature without disrespect of the natural environment and local village life.
Visit us for a few days to learn and participate in village life and tuly feel and warmth and hospitality of my people.
We were ready for our first homestay guests in mid April 2012.
Enjoy the photos as they best describe our new homestay.
